I’m glad you’re here! My goal is to provide a space where you can feel like your best self. I have been described as “comfortable, kind, caring, and authentic” by past clients. I want to provide a place that makes you feel cozy, welcomed, and heard.
I believe your story matters; I will meet you where you are and journey with you to where you want to be. The process of choosing a therapist can be challenging.
If you would like to see if we are a good fit, please contact our office. I look forward to meeting you!
“Trauma creates change we don’t choose. Healing is about creating change you do choose.” We will walk through your story at your own pace. There is hope.
Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed with daily life tasks or finding yourself feeling unmotivated to enjoy the activities you used to. Maybe you are feeling stuck in a fog and not sure where to turn. Depression is treatable.
Anxiety can feel like walking around with a tightness in your chest, cramping in your stomach, and like you just can’t quite catch your breath. Maybe your thoughts and feelings have been in check, but they just feel out of control right now. We can work to unlock your potential and manage your anxiety. You can be in control.
Whether it is middle/high school hardships, transitioning to college, moving to or from Williamsburg, or family life adjustments, counseling can help manage the stress that comes with change. We each have a unique journey.
Life is full of relationships: family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. and they can be complicated. Problem-solving and receiving support can help navigate unexpected challenges. You matter.
I am a lifelong LGBTQIA+ ally. I will happily support you and your journey! Your voice matters.

Hi! I work with adolescents and adults on matters that include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life changes, and relationship concerns. My main goal is to create a relaxed environment that allows my clients to feel comfortable and safe. The therapeutic bond is very important as I strive to create a personable, casual, yet effective environment for change for each unique person and their needs. I aim to be the bridge for my clients as we work through change and growth goals together.
I received my M.S from Radford University in Counseling & Human Development concentrating on Clinical Mental Health Counseling & completed 800+ clinical hours. I am a Board-Certified Licensed in Counseling at Iron Vines Counseling, LLC supervised by Dr. Victoria McLaughlin, PhD, LPC, LSATP, CSAC, ACS, NCC & have completed 2000+ hours toward licensure.
If you are struggling and need a calming and non-judgmental space to talk, I hope you will make an appointment with me soon!
Continuous anxious thinking can become tiring and problematic. Finding ways to stop overthinking and learn coping mechanisms is a great way to manage/treat anxiety.
Life can oftentimes feel unmanageable, and finding the energy to participate in daily activities can feel overwhelming. Support during this time can help.
Self-esteem can often fluctuate during the course of our lives. Wanting to gain a better self-image of ourselves or feeling more positive/confident are all goals that can be achieved.
Trauma often shatters belief systems and robs people of their sense of meaning. In doing so, it forces people to put the pieces back together… rebuilding beautifully those parts of their lives and life stories that they could never have torn down voluntarily.” — Jonathan Haidt, The Happiness Hypothesis
Whether it be moving to a new city, beginning college, getting married, receiving a new promotion, or loss of a loved one/relationship, etc., change can be challenging. If you are struggling with a recent change, let's work together to ease the stressors that change can bring.
Breakups, arguments, infidelity, lack of communication skills, beginning of new relationships, etc. are all common occurrences that may be causing you stress in your everyday life. Talking about these concerns and finding support/solutions is a great way to reduce stress.
The experience of bipolar disorder is uniquely personal. You may experience highs and lows of feeling sad, happy, frustrated, reduced need for sleep, bursts of energy etc. Learning how to manage Bipolar I and Bipolar II symptoms may seem difficult, but by learning and applying skills it can be better managed.
